This week Walt Disney World released the tickets for these super popular holiday events – Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I have been going to Disney for so long I can’t keep track anymore. I was always hesitant to go to the special parties that Disney hosts because I thought if I can get to the park on my regular pass why do I need to pay extra to go after hours, all I heard was you get hot cocoa and sugar cookies. Well, my husband talked me into trying the Christmas party with friends a few years ago. I was determined to prove to my husband that it was not worth… and he proved that is was.
The first thing that I noticed was that there were so many more characters out in the park than you would usually see, I saw many of the princesses WITH their princes. That is not something you see everyday. All of the Dwarfs were hanging out together waiting to meet happy families. It made my daughter so happy to walk up to the characters for pictures.
We then settled in one area to see the parade, which I thought was the one they show every night. It was a special parade with holiday themes all throughout that ended with a special fireworks show that I personally found amazing. The park was not as crowded as a usual evening parade because Disney only sells a certain amount of tickets for the party, so I didn’t feel crushed!
I was totally changed on how I view the extra parties at Disney, but don’t tell my husband . LOL! Oh…. And we did have the Cocoa and cookies every chance we got. If you are thinking about whether it would be a good idea or not, listen to this skeptic it is well worth it!!
