Our team has expertise in all areas of travel and can take care of everything. We are constantly stretching our knowledge, getting certified in specific destinations and doing everything possible to provide you with the best service with the most expertise.

The Beginning

In 2009, Kelly created what was once known as “Disney Guru” from a little site called Blogger. The reason for the creation was simply to share tips and travel information for fans of Walt Disney World. The blog became a huge hit, from Kelly’s unique, “Money Saver Monday” posts to her tips on how to travel in groups to Walt Disney World.

During that time, Facebook became quite the phenomenon and Kelly created a page. Needless to say things began to take off!

One Year Later

With the inception of social media, it was a no brainier that Kelly would begin to connect with other like minded Disney fans. It was not too long before Kelly was being asked to Guest Post on big Disney blogs. This was truly a pivotal moment in Kelly’s career.

The most exciting time was when Kelly was approached to work outsides sales, selling Disney vacations. Even though it was scary, Kelly also knew it was what would bring her closer to her passion.

Something Specially New

By 2015 Guru Travel was being awarded the most prestigious award in the Disney Travel Community, Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. This was a game changer for Kelly and for the team working with Guru Travel.

Kelly knew that this was no longer a hobby, planning magical vacations was a career, and a responsibility.

Three years later

Kelly lives by the motto, if you’re going to do something, do it well. Three years later, under the direction of Kelly Ortiz, Guru Travel has received countless accolades and designations. Not only has the agency retained the prestigious, Authorized Disney Vacation Planner designation, but the agency has received even more!

In just one short year, Guru Travel became a Preferred Sandals Agency as well as a Golden Apple Agency. Many of the Travel Professionals carry the Norwegian P.H.D Certification as well as a member in the exclusive MAST organization.

Kelly has been a delegate on the Family Travel Advisor Forum since 2016, and is on the board for 2019. Needless to say, Guru Travel works hard behind the scenes to bring you the best!

Today

Guru Travel continues to be an authority in planning Walt Disney World vacations. Our team is trained tirelessly on how to listen, dream, and craft the most magical vacation, so you all you need to do is travel.
