The lights dim low. The music swells as the 50 piece orchestra and the mass choir help bring the traditional Christmas story to life. Next add a celebrity narrator and you have a magical Christmas treat that is the perfect end to your evening at EPCOT.
During the Christmas season, the America Gardens Theater in EPCOT World Showcase transforms to become the backdrop for this beloved tradition. I think this is one of those special moments that makes the season even more special. However, here are some important things to consider:
- Book the Candlelight Processional Dining Package as it guarantees you seating for your show. If you do not have the dining package, then seating is first come, first seated. Because this is such a popular tradition at Walt Disney World, the lines start early and the theater fills quickly. You need to eat anyway, so why not reserve the package?
- Theme park admission is required, but this actual Candlelight Processional is free.
- The celebrity narrators are all subject to change. It doesn’t happen often, but remember each one is selected because of their ability to perform, so no matter who your narrator is, it is bound to be great. Currently, the narrators are: Neil Patrick Harris, Whoppi Goldberg, Joe Morton, Meredith Vieria, Edward James Olmos, and Amy Grant.
