Welcome back to Disney 101! Now that you are an expert on the HOT Special Events around Walt Disney World you may start to have an idea of what time of year you would like to travel to Disney. The next step in planning your Disney vacation is picking where you would like to stay.

This choice is going to impact your trip tremendously, from cost to size to proximity to comfort. While both Jenn and I feel that cost is a HUGE deciding factor as to where families stay when they travel to Disney World that information is generic because people really want to know the value of each resorts as well as  the proximity of the resorts. Together, Jenn and I have broken up the resorts by area. It is our hope that based on proximity and value you will be able to pick an accommodation that fits the needs of your family.

Downtown Disney Area Resorts

When you stay at the Downtown Disney area resorts you are going to find yourself close to the central shopping district on Walt Disney World property as well as fairly close to many of the parks.

I love French Quarter. We have stayed there numerous times and I consider it my “home” resort! I don’t think I would ever stay anywhere else.

    Thanks for the awesome rundown.

will be staying at POFQ, again, in September. One of my favorites!

  • POR looks so nice! Definitely a contender for our next WDW vacation!

  • Looking forward to POFQ next month!

  • How difficult is it to get reservations at the Treehouse Villas?

  • It’s a goal to stay in all of the resorts! 🙂 Saratoga and All Star Music are checked off!! 🙂

  • We are considering POR for our next trip. But I absolutely HATE the decor in the alligator bayou rooms. If we got stuck there for ten days I think I’d go crazy! I really love the Magnolia bend rooms though.

  • This information is perfect! It’s really helping me plan our first trip!

  • Austyn I am so happy that it helps you. Thanks for stopping by!

  • I have stayed at the All Star Resorts, and the Pop Century resorts. Both are great. I have also stayed at GF and AKL. AKL will always be my favorite. The views of the savannah and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to experience PORRS in a few weeks!!

  • They look really nice! One day, we will plan a trip long enough to have some free days and check some of these out!
