Disney Dining Review: Be Our Guest Restaurant Lunch

BeOurGuest4

One of the highlights of our last trip to Walt Disney World Resort was having the opportunity to eat lunch at Be Our Guest Restaurant. Everyone in my family is a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, and we could not wait to see the inside of Beast’s Castle! One of the first things we noticed was the efficiency of the ordering system. Once we reached the podium, we were given a red rose and told to proceed to the computers and use the touch screen to place our order.

Since it was our first visit, we were especially thankful for the photos of each dish on the touch-screen computer. My daughter and I are vegetarians, but I had done my research and found out that both the French Onion and Potato Leek soups were completely vegetarian!

I also decided to try the Vegetable Quiche while my husband chose the Braised Pork. My husband was trying to maintain a low-carbohydrate diet during our vacation, and he was very pleased with the choices at Be Our Guest!

We were so impressed with the quality of the food! I would consider my husband to be a pretty picky eater, but he did not have one bad thing to say about his meal! The quiche was fantastic. It is probably one of the best I have ever eaten! We all agree that the best parts of the meal were the soups! French Onion soup is rarely vegetarian, so this was a real treat for me. Both soups were so delicious that we joked about making a meal out of several bowls of soup next time we dine here.

For dessert, we decided to try the Passion Fruit Cream Puff, Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake, and The Master’s Cupcake.

While they all were delicious, we could not get enough of The Master’s Cupcake! It is a chocolate cupcake topped with “The Grey Stuff”. Walt Disney World Resort is known for having some unique and out-of-this-world cupcakes, and The Master’s Cupcake is definitely one of the best! If you are looking for the perfect way to end a meal at Be Our Guest Restaurant, definitely order The Master’s Cupcake!

This is, by far, the best quick-service meal we have had at Walt Disney World Resort. We were not on the Disney Dining Plan, but based on the prices and quality, you would definitely get a lot of value out of your dining plan by using a quick-service credit at Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch.

We ended our wonderful meal with a quick tour of the castle. The Cast Members were all very friendly and told us not to leave without taking a look around. We ate in The Rose Gallery, which had a dancing Belle and Beast rotating at the center of the room.

The Ballroom is the largest room, and also the loudest. The chandeliers were gorgeous, and at the back of the room, you could see “snow” falling outside the window. The West Wing is home to the enchanted rose, which was beautiful! The room, however, is very dark and may not be the best place to eat with young children. As we were leaving, our six-year-old daughter informed us that she would not have liked to eat in that room. We were very happy we dined in The Rose Gallery and would want to eat there again.

Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of my favorite things about New Fantasyland! Although the long lines at lunch and extreme difficulty securing a dinner reservation may scare some guests away, I would seek any opportunity to dine at Be Our Guest Restaurant. In my opinion, the quality of the food matches that of many of the table-service restaurants, and the decorations and Cast Members truly make you feel whisked away to Beast’s Castle!
