Disney Princess Dining at Askershus

Disney 2K15 492

Akershus Royal Banquet hall is one of only a handful of locations where you can dine with Disney Princesses. Akershus can be found nestled away at Epcot at Walt Disney World in Norway.

Upon entering you will be greeted by one Disney Princess for a photo. (Photopass Photographers will be there) The day we dined we had Belle. Once you take your picture your party will be seated. I loved the ambiance of Akershus as you are made to fee like you are in a medieval castle in Norway. In addition, to the look of the restaurant, of course, the staff is also right from Norway to make you feel right at home.

While enjoying your meal Disney Princesses and friends will visit your table. Be sure to have your autograph books and pens ready. Breakfast is served all you care to enjoy while both lunch and dinner are served with a light cold-cut buffet and your choice of a mail dish from the menu.

We dined for lunch. My family really loved the buffet as we are more adventurous eaters. Many of the items on the menu are fish-inspired such as crab salad, lox and bagels, cold-cuts…etc. We ordered the following meals:

  • Traditional Kjøttkake

Norwegian Meatballs served with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, and Lingonberry Sauce
  • Roasted Beef Sandwich

Thinly Sliced Beef Striploin, Roasted Shallot Mayonnaise, Caramelized Onions, and Warm Potato Salad
  • Oven-roasted Chicken Breast

Potato Dumplings, Seasonal Vegetables, and Bacon Vinaigrette

My little ones ordered the following:

  • Salmon

with Steamed Rice, Seasonal Vegetables, and Fruit Salad served with choice of Small Lowfat Milk or Small Dasani® Water. Meets Disney Nutrition Guidelines for Complete Meals without substitutions

While you are dining they take the princesses in your party yo enjoy a very cute parade with a princess, it was so sweet to watch the kids parade around in awe while they held the hand of their favorite Disney Princess.

We absolutely LOVED this experience for a princess meal and would do it again. I love the fact that this location is on the Disney Dining Plan and takes just 1 credit. While Cinderella’s Royal Table takes 2.

You can see the full menu here. Pricing if you are paying out of pocket is from $24.49-$55.37 for adults (depending on breakfast, lunch or dinner) and from $24.49-$29.81 for children.
