An expense that most Disney fans are not used to is transportation. When traveling to Walt Disney World transportation is free..this is not the case when traveling with Disney Cruise Line.
Transportation through Disney is going to cost you 70.00 per person round-trip. For my family of five that is 350.00. I have to admit, that price is a bit of a turn-off to me. I decided to do a little research to see if I could do better. Here is what I came up with:
Alamo Midsize Car Rental 9/6-9/12: 147.00
You will also need somewhere to park you car. Parking at the port seems like the most logical thing to do but I decided to check to see if there were any other options. I found Park n Cruise just 2 miles away. Park at the port was going to be 80.00 while Park n Cruise was 38.95. Yay, I think know what I chose. 😉
Total for Parking: $38.95
I would also like to give Park n Cruise a rave review from me! They are EXTREMELY efficient and professional. Not only did they get me to the port in 5 minutes but when I called for my pick up it only took them 7 minutes to arrive. I will be using their services again for sure!
Quick Tip: Because of the price there are a lot of people using their services. When we arrived there was a long line to get into the parking lot. I would recommend giving yourself some extra time if you want to arrive at the port early. It took us about 45 minutes from the time we arrived to actually depart the parking lot. This is not a service issue it was my fault for not arriving sooner.
Total for transportation: $185.95
Total savings: $164.05
