Money Saver Monday!!
If you are like me you are trying to save every single penny you can to help you get to Walt Disney World without fully breaking the bank. Did you know that Target now carries Disney Park Gift Cards? At my Target they carry them in increments of $25 and $50. If you are not already a Target Red Card Debit Card holder I would HIGHLY recommend becoming one. Here is why:
When you are a Target Red Card Debit Card holder you automatically get 5% off of your entire purchase every single time you shop..even at Starbucks and yes folks even on Gift Cards!!!! So what I have been doing is stocking up on Disney Gift Cards for my upcoming trip and saving 5% on every single card that I purchase. Today I purchased $75 in Disney Gift Cards and my total came out to $71.25!! Just imagine if you did this and paid for your entire Disney vacation purchasing Disney Gift Cards at 5% off? Here is some savings info for you:
- The average Disney World Vacation costs about $3000.00.
- Minus the 5%
- Your total would be $2850.00!!
- That is a savings of $150.
To me that is souvenir money or the money I can use to pay for my Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets!! Now you may be wondering how to get a card. Just ask the cashier next time you go to Target if you can apply for a Target Debit Red Card. You will need a blank check and there is no credit check to apply. It takes about 2-3 minutes and you are all set!!
See ya real soon!!

Ok, stupid question, but I’m not too clear on the point of having a Target Red Card Debit Card… Is it strictly so you can use it at Target and save 5%?
I love Suze Ormond, and am trying to not use credit cards, so boy am I excited about this!!! You get the 5% at Target, but don’t have to use credit, yay! That $150 will at least cover my teenagers souvenirs once she gets done in UK lol! Thanks again Kelly, you always have the best tips and info! I’d be lost without you and Theresa, I swear!
