Yesterday we spoke about different areas of Disney Cruise planning that can help you save money. Today we are going to discuss cost of the cruise. Believe it or not you can control this to a point.
The first way to save is by picking a good time of year to cruise. Here is a tip: If the kids are in school it is most-likely a cost-effective time to travel. If the kids are out of school the prices are going to be higher. Now, I know that not everyone is willing to pull the kiddos out of school for some extra Disney fun but if you are it is a FANTASTIC way to save.
Next, if you have not read my article about purchasing Disney Gift Cards for a discount at Target...you do not want to miss it! Assuming you just read it, you can actually pay for your entire cruise using Disney Gift Cards. I paid for my entire cruise using gift cards.
Here is the breakdown:
- Cost of the cruise: 3500.00
- We booked it while on a previous cruise in February so we got 10% off of the rate above. Total: 3150.00
- Minus the 5% savings with the Disney Gift Cards.
- Total: 2992.50
Total Savings: 507.50
As you can see between picking the right time of year and using the 5% off you can save a bundle. Of course, I saved a bit more because I re-booked on the ship but you can still save.
Don’t forget that we offer up to a 300.00 shipboard credit. Call us today at 877-825-6146 for details.
