I am always looking for ways to cut corners when we travel to Disney and this is no exception when we cruise with Disney. From paying for my entire trip with discounted Disney Gift cards from Target, to crunching numbers to see if Disney transportation is the most cost-effective way to get to the port. Every penny you save helps you get back to Disney faster the next time….which is always my goal. :0)
I just got back from my third Disney Cruise but this was the first time that I took my family along with me. Naturally, when you add more travelers into the equation is drastically changes your price. Even though everything is paid for in advance there are some extra costs to consider when you budget.
Today I am gong to list the extra expenses and throughout the rest of the week I am gong to share what we did to save some extra money…you can do it too.
Expenses When You Cruise
- Cost of the cruise.
- Gratuities
- Transportation
- Flights
- Hotel stay before and after your trip.
- Food for pre/post sailing.
- Shipboard expenses
- Spending money
As you can see there is a bit more to planning a Disney Cruise then the actual trip. I am gong to show you a few things my family of five did to save a few extra bucks. If you are able to save money in each category it can really add up. Be sure to come back each day this week to see my money saving tips. If you have tips we would love to hear from you in the comments section below.
