As you follow along with me on my magical review of the Disney Fantasy Cruise I am sure you have been pondering taking a Disney Cruise yourself. Well if I have yet to convince you, maybe I can at least convince your stomach. Today we are chatting about dining on the Disney Fantasy. I want to thank Leslie from More Mickey Magic for the beautiful pictures she is allowing me to use. :0)

Before I get into the different dining choices on the Disney Fantasy I think it would be good to first explain how dining works on the Disney Cruise Line.
Disney Cruise Line is very well known for their rotational dining. This is where you are treated with a nightly dinner visit to one of the three distinctly themed restaurants each night. In addition to the perk of having more than one restaurant on board, you are also treated to having your family’s personal server follow you each night to your dining reservation. This is just another way for Disney to infuse their famous service into the Disney cruising experience.
There are three main dining restaurants on the Disney Fantasy;Enchanted Garden, Royal Court and Animator’s Palette. In addition to the main dining there is also a casual dining experience on the Fantasy called Cabanas. Last, you can take advantage of a few quick service options throughout the ship as well.
Now onto the food!
Cabanas is one of the casual dining locations on the Fantasy. This means that you can walk up in very casual attire (for me this was my sundress with swimwear under it) and flip flops and dine from the many options this buffet has to offer. I have to stop here because maybe the food wont draw you her but the views certainly will! This pace has the best views of the ocean…it is truly stunning! I would recommend dining here for breakfast and enjoying the view. Prior to dining here I had read reviews where people said the food at Cabanas was not too great. No it is not spectacular in comparison to what you eat for dinner but it is very good for a grab and go buffet. I dined her for both breakfast and lunch and enjoyed both meals. Enjoy the pics!
Enchanted Garden is a garden themed restaurant which is a casual buffet during the day and a more formal dining selection by night. During the day you will be able to walk in and sit where ever you would like. A server will be sure that your table is replenished with drinks and other dining necessities. At night you are in for a real treat as the restaurant slowly transforms throughout your dining experience. Take note of the beautiful flowers on the ceiling…they slowly bloom throughout your meal. Our server mentioned that the restaurant colors change as we dine from sunrise to sunset…I thought this touch was neat and went very well with the theme.
Lunch is what you would expect out of a casual buffet, salads, soups, cold cuts, some fish options such as, lox, shrimp and salmon, veggies like asparagus and a meat carving station. In addition, they had a very nice dessert area with mini desserts and gelato. Overall, I enjoyed Enchanted Garden for lunch.
Dinner was much different than lunch. I felt like I was in another restaurant. Lights were dimmed and the menu was much more upscale. I started off my meal with what our server recommended, the tuna tower and cream of asparagus soup. The tuna tower was so good that I proceed to eat 2 more of them…the soup was great as well.
For dinner I ordered the sea scallops with pearl pasta and asparagus…this was very good. I loved that the scallops were done the way I like them…well done with a little crunch. I ended my meal with the lemon tart of sorts…the name of it escapes me. But it was oh so yummy!
Royal Court is one of the fancier main dining locations on the ship. I just fell in love with the decor of this restaurant. It was elegantly decorated in princess wedding themed pictures and accessories all around. Even the bread bowl had a royal theme.
The menu here was marvelous! I ordered the escargot to start which I have to admit was not the best I have had..it was not the escargot but the choice of seasonings did not do it for me. I took advantage of the fact that you can order as much as you want and ordered another appetizer which was cocktail shrimp and iced lobster. This was splendid! I could have ordered more but I needed to save room for my dinner. This next part is the part that I am still craving today…it was so good! If we have any rack of lamb lovers out there, I HIGHLY recommend that you try it when you dine at Royal Court. Not only was it cooked to perfection but the seasoning was amazing! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. For dessert our server brought us out a mini sampler to get a taste of 3 different dessert options…from there I opted for the sugar free mango cheesecake…nope not because it was sugar free because it was GOOD!
I am going to stop here for today…not only because this article is getting super long but because the next restaurant on my list deserves its own post. So be sure to visit us on Tuesday when I review Animator’s Palette.
See ya real soon!
