My Favorite Time of Year at Disneyland

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am a annual passholder at Disneyland. My favorite time of year at the Disneyland Resort is Christmas. I just love how they decorate for the holiday season. Everything is so beautifully decorated. My favorite thing is the huge Christmas Tree in Disneyland on Main Street and the old fashion tree in California Adventure. Each land is decorated accordingly. Some of the rides get a holiday overlay. The rides that get a holiday overlays are It’s A Small World, Haunted Mansion, and the Jungle Cruise.

The Haunted Mansion is taken over by Jack Skelton from Nightmare before Christmas. This ride has all your favorite characters from the movie. It has Zero flying from painting to painting in the queue before you get on the ride. Sally also, makes appearance in one of the paintings too. With this year being its 13th year, they threw some 13’s into the ride. The overlay for this ride is from the 2nd week of September to the end of the 1st week of January. So, you can get plenty of times to ride.

The next one is It’s A Small World. They close down this ride from mid October to the 1st week of November to get it ready for its Christmas overlay. When it opens back up, it’s all decorated for the different ways that the world celebrates its own holiday season. They play Christmas music all through the ride.

What’s new for this year to the rides being decorated is the Jungle Cruise. They are calling it the Jingle Cruise. The queue is decorated like they would decorate in the jungle. Even the boats are decorated and your cruise director is telling some corny jokes that are related to the holidays.

I hope that you enjoy my favorite time of year at Disneyland. Until next time, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
