Stay in the Heart of Dublin: College Green Hotel Review

Hi Everyone! Kelly Ortiz here, I just returned back from an amazing trip to Ireland. As a seasoned traveler and advisor with a passion for showcasing the world’s wonders, I find immense joy in taking people to places I’ve discovered. My recent stay at the College Green Hotel in Dublin enhanced this journey—offering not just a bed in a city, but a ticket to adventure, enriching history, and cherished memories. Let me take you on a journey to one of Dublin’s finest, through the eyes of someone who’s been there.

Let’s start with location. Location is everything! I work with hundreds of clients a year and always discuss the value of a product. This could be comfort, location, food, etc. My travel journeys take me to places to discover the value for you, so that you can make an informed decision.

Prime Location

For those aiming to dive into the cultural richness of Dublin, the College Green Hotel is your perfect base. As I stood footsteps away from Trinity College, with the Book of Kells beckoning just next door, I couldn’t help but sense the beating heart of the city around me. The electric atmosphere of Temple Bar lay merely across the street, inviting us for endless evenings of laughter and music. Our explorations led us to Grafton Street in just seven minutes, where every corner burst with charming boutiques and lively performers. In my eyes, the convenience and accessibility of this location eliminate any need for a car—leaving the joy of foot travel and exploration.

Prime Location – Situated in the heart of Dublin, close to iconic landmarks such as Trinity College and Dublin Castle.
– Easy access to shopping areas like Grafton Street and cultural spots including the National Gallery.

I value a luxury hotel. Luxury means different things to different people. For me, luxury is a 5 star quality bed, a bathroom with space to unpack, beautiful decor, and staff that are friendly. The College Green Hotel offered all of this and more!

I want to point out that we are very casual, The College Green Hotel is somewhere you feel luxury and no pretention.

Luxury Accommodations

Upon entering our Deluxe King Room at the College Green, my senses were greeted by a blend of contemporary aesthetics and traditional elegance. Every corner of the space speaks comfort and luxury, tailored to unwind and soothe any traveler’s journey-weariness. The charming views from our room offered a glimpse of Dublin’s storied architecture, making our stay not just restful and comfortable.

Luxury Accommodations – Elegantly designed rooms with modern amenities tailored for comfort and convenience.
– A range of suites and rooms offering panoramic views of Dublin’s historic architecture.

Food is always at the center of our travel plans. What I loved about staying at the College Green Hotel, Dublin was that we were close to everything! A quick walk to the hotel concierge and we had a plethora of suggestions as to where to go, all within a 5-minute walk. In addition to the surrounding area, The College Green Hotel has their own exceptional dining options as well.

Exceptional Dining

I cannot mention College Green without bringing to light its remarkable dining opportunities. I indulged in a delightful parade of flavors, sampling everything from traditional Irish cuisine to refined international tastes that were elegantly prepared. A highlight of my dining experience here was undoubtedly the afternoon tea—a perfect respite that allowed me to savor both exquisite infusions and the serene ambiance.

We also had an amazing time each night at The Mint Bar which is downstairs in from the hotel lobby. We LOVE live music and The Mint had it every night. We enjoyed cocktails, appetizers and a mixture of both Irish and Piano Bar classics.

Don’t forget to take advantage of the full Irish breakfast in the morning. For most guests, the breakfast will be included. If not, just ask at check-in to see if they have an offer for you. We were quoted 20Euros per person per day.

Exceptional Dining – Offers a variety of on-site dining options, featuring authentic Irish cuisine and international flavors.
– Renowned for its afternoon tea service held in a picturesque setting.

The College Green Hotel, Dublin is not going to be the cheapest option for your trip. However, most travelers either start or end their trip in Dublin. The memory of your trip is usually how it begins or how it ends. Start or end your trip with comfort, convenience (20 minutes from Dublin Airport), and full immersion into what Dublin City has to offer. You will not be disappointed.
