Did you know that what you pack can save you money? It is true! We have all done it, forgot something small that we needed and had to buy it while on property at Walt Disney World. And we all know how much the prices are inflated for those small luxuries we all need. On my most recent trip to Disney World, I forgot to bring lotion. I need lotion!!! I went to the “Everything Pop” at Pop Century and purchased a small bottle of lotion for $8…..yikes!!!!
This list is not a packing list but a list of things you can bring to help you not have to spend extra money when you are at Walt Disney World. You can download our complete packing list here.
Personal Care Items
Band-Aids
Medicine-Advil, Tylenol, Allergy, Sinus(I always get a sinus infection at WDW) Meds for the kiddos
Neosporin- You never know who is going to get a scrape.
Sunblock-Lots of it!!
Aloe
Wipes- We bring a lot of these and always use all of them.
Dramamine-You just never know who is going to get sick on Mission Space…haha.
Water bottle for each traveler
Girly needs- :0)
Food Items
Instant Oatmeal- Makes for a great breakfast. You can warm it up in the microwave at your food court. Another plus is that you can make it with water.
Pop Tarts=Again, your food courts have toasters that you can use.
Microwave popcorn
Drink mix-ins
Other Items
Laundry Pods and Dryer Sheets-These are a must! Purchasing laundry detergent from your resort will cost you quite a bit. Even if you think you will not be doing laundry, bring it just in case.
Batteries-Check the sizes of batteries you would need while on your trip. Then visit the dollar store and get a plethora of batteries. Believe me, you do not want to buy these on property. Don’t forget those mister fans, my son loves to play with the fan all day, which causes us to need even more batteries than normal…lol.
Cheap Sunglasses- I have lost, sat on or thrown away way too many pair of sunglasses at WDW. This is going to stop! Next trip I am going to Wal-Mart and getting 2 pair of $5 glasses. This way I have a back up and I don’t need to spend $20 on a $5 pair at Disney. Whoo hoo!!!
Hats
Ziplock baggies-I keep my camera wrapped in one. Also, you can put just about anything else in there to shield it from weather.
Glow sticks-The dollar store has a ton of glowing toys for kids. I buy them and keep them in the bag. The kids love to search through the bad to see what we have in there at night. It is always a surprise. This will save you from the light-up vendors that come out at night…lol.
Rain Ponchos-The ponchos at Disney are going to cost you from $9-$15. Go to Wal-Mart and grab some for only $4. If you don’t use them, you can return them when you get home…or save them for your next trip.
Gum-I know this is not a money saver but I love gum and you can’t buy it anywhere on property. :0)
