Welcome back to Disney 101! This week we are going to discuss Disney Transportation. Now there are many forms of Disney transportation, Magical Express, Monorails, Buses and Boats. Today’s topic is, Magical Express!!!
Why pay for transportation to and from Orlando International Airport when you can get it for FREE? When you book your stay at any Walt Disney World Resort, you automatically qualify for Disney’s FREE Magical Express service.
Magical Express Transportation
With Disney’s Magical Express Service, your vacation starts the moment you land at Orlando International Airport.
• Don’t bother picking up your luggage when you
arrive; Disney takes you from the airport to
check-in, while your bags go to your room.
• Save on transportation costs, tolls, parking,
and more.
• Enjoy comfortable transportation to and from
the airport in deluxe air-conditioned motor
coaches.
• When your vacation’s over, you and your bags
are whisked back from your Disney Resort to
the airport.
Once you arrive to the Orlando International Airport (MCO), you go right to the Magical Express Desk to check in on the Transportation Level of the airport. Disney will pick up your luggage for you and deliver it to your Disney Resort about 2-3 hours after check in. If you are arriving after 10 PM, you will want to pick up your own luggage from Baggage Claim to make sure you have your luggage once you arrive to your Disney Resort and are not waiting for your luggage when the family is ready to go to sleep. For your trip back home, you will receive a flyer in your room about 2 days before you leave with details on how to use the Magical Express transfers back to the airport. It is a great timesaver service!
Magical Express Tips
- Guests needing special assistance such as wheelchair lifts need to indicate this at the time of booking.
- Car Seats are not permitted on the motor-coach and will be stored underneath.

We love DME and use it every time we fly to WDW. It’s convenient, easy to use and we don’t have to wait at baggage claim if we don’t want to which is fantastic! We always keep some extra clothes and toiletries in our carry-on if we want to change and freshen up when we get to the resort. Our vacation begins as soon as we step on DME. Love it and wouldn’t use anything else!

I wish they had something like this at Disneyland! We paid over $100 for our transfers from the airport to our hotel, we had to wait at baggage claim, and we had to haul our luggage across the airport. ME sounds like such a breeze! Can’t wait to use it!
