Where should you cruise? Experts say…

Once you know you want to take a cruise vacation, the question is, what cruise line and where to go? The  2017 Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards have chosen and here’s where they say avid cruisers like to go.

Budapest is the best per cruise critic users. If you are into architecture this stunning city most certainly needs to be at the top of your list. Budapest sits along the Danube River in central Europe and is a very popular stop with river cruise itineraries. Now it’s also been named the world’s top cruise port in the 2017 Cruisers’ Choice Destination Awards. When cruisers rates it, they chose it by it’s history and beauty.

Also, listed at the top of the list are the following:

  • Wurzburg
  • Germany
  • Vienna
  • Austria
  • Glacier Bay, Alaska
  • St. Petersburg, Russia

For cruisers looking for a European-like feel in the US and Canada, Quebec City was named as a top-choice.

In Mexico, Cabo San Lucas took the top spot in the category for Mexican Riviera, Central and South American port. Cozumel, Mexico, was named best in the Western Caribbean and Riviera Maya.

Other first-place winners include:

— Singapore, best in Asia and the South Pacific

— Akaroa, New Zealand, best in Australia and New Zealand

— King’s Wharf, Bermuda, best in the eastern Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda

— Curacao, Lesser Antilles, best in the southern Caribbean

—Amsterdam, best in Western Europe

—Dubrovnik, Croatia, best in the eastern Mediterranean

— Villefranche, France, best in the western Mediterranean
