Disney News From the Week of September 20, 2010

What an amazing week in Disney news!!!

As many of us have followed, Disney Parks had a live stream of a “huge” announcement earlier this week. Ten of thousands of Disney fans alike cleared their afternoons to stream into the breaking news that Disney promised to offer.  There was quite a buzz going around as to WHAT this news was going to be!! There were rumors of a fifth gate, new resorts on property, new rides, another DVC resort, or next year’s theme?

One thing was for sure….millions of people streamed in to hear what they thought was going to be a huge announcement for Disney Parks.  In fact, so many fans streamed in that it crashed Disney’s system…wow!

The news was for some a huge disappointment because it was all about Disney Parks 2011 theme. The new theme is, “Let the Memories Begin.” This theme is going to be geared toward guest pictures, and videos that were taken at the Disney Parks and are submitted online.  The pictures and videos have a chance at being used in commercials and a nightly show at the Disney Parks. Monday September 20, 2010, Flame Tree Barbecue reopened after a short refurbishment. The refurbishment included, the sauce pit that was near the guest check out has now been removed. This is going to help that area from getting congested.  In addition, there have been a few minor changes to the menu. Click here to see the full menu.

 Disney attraction news…

Construction is underway for a new savannah trekking experience that is going to open at Animal Kingdom early 2011. The name of this attraction will be “Wild Africa Trek.”  Bookings and pricing information will be available at the end of 2010.

Cirque du Soleil closed for refurbishment and will reopen on September 28, 2010. In addition, Astro Orbiter will be closing for a short refurbishment from 12/5/10-12/09/10.

What Our Clients Say

My grandson Oscar (5), son Johnathan, sister Kim and I went to Disney World for a week.  When I first had the thought to go I thought, where do I begin?  I put a shout out on FaceBook and discovered that Beth was a guru.  All I had to give her was my dates and we started from there.  She gave me options for resorts, told me about the dining plan, park hopper, fast passes and resorts to stay in.  She walked me through every step of the way.  I know that our vacation would not have been half as fun or organized if not for Beth.  I can’t say enough good things about her.  I would ask a silly question, she would reply and not make me feel like it was silly.  There is so much to Disney that I know it would have been a nightmare without her.  She is always, friendly and helpful.  She never tried to sway my opinion one way or another and let me make the decisions.  I would definitely have been lost without her.  I recommend her to everyone who says they want to go to Disney World.  Thank you Beth for the vacation of a lifetime.
