Princess For A Day
Most little girls dream of being a princess.  The dresses, the hair, the castle, and of course the title of “Princess”.  At Walt Disney World, that dream becomes areality for children ages 3 and up.
Your child’s transformation takes place at the BippidiBoppidi Boutique inside Cinderella Castle or at the World of Disney store inDowntown Disney.
Once you arrive, your daughter is given her invitation to “TheBall” which comes straight from Cinderella herself.  When it’s her turn, she is addressed as “Princess(enter child’s name)” and  then escortedto her awaiting throne. Princesses get pampered by their own stylist. . .er,Fairy Godmother In-Training who will give them a royal manicure, hairstyle, andmakeup all while a Photopass Photographer captures the memories.
Don’t be afraid to take you own photos either, as it is notdiscouraged.  Tissues are another thing youmight want to have on hand as the tears will well up.
Three packages are offered from $49.95 to $185.95 along withthree different hair styles; Fairytale Princess, Pop Princess, and Disney Diva.
Ÿ Coach Package is the cheapest of the three atonly $49.95 plus tax and includes hairstyling and beautiful makeup that is donevery tastefully.
Ÿ Crown Package seems to be the most popular at$54.95 plus tax and includes the same as in the above package with the additionof  a manicure.
Ÿ Castle Package is the big one at $185.95 andincludes everything above plus the Imaging Package (one 6″ x 8″ andfour 4″ x 6″ photos in a princess-themed photo holder).  Then to top it all off, her choice of costumewith accessories.
Besides all that’s listed above, each “Princess” will get amini jeweled crown, a jeweled Mickey Mouse barrette, a sash, and a gift bagwith two bottles of nail polish (Crown Package) and the makeup that was usedfor her makeover.  It includes severalshades of eye shadow, lipstick, and one blush on a little painter‘spalette.  My daughter still uses hers.
A great way to have the Castle Package experience for lessis to buy your own costume and accessories at the Disney Store before youarrive.
I purchased the Coach Package at Cinderella‘s Castle for mydaughter , but I bought her a Disney Official Cinderella gown throughDisneystore.com for about $30 along with $14 light up jelly “glass” slippersand Cinderella’s headband/crown for $12. It honestly was one of the best costumes we saw during our trip and shewas complimented on it by cast members all day.
If you are worried about the hair not staying in place allday, don’t worry, it’s not going to budge.
It is a very busy place and the earlier you can book yourappointment, the better, as they can not guarantee room for walk-ins.  The waiting room isn’t very big and can attimes be standing room only.  Strollersare not permitted inside either, but there is stroller parking rightoutside.
Though the interior decoration is a bit plain, it’s theoverall experience that’s magical and the Godmothers In-Training are very kindand make you feel welcomed.
This is a great way to start the day, especially for a FirstVisit.  The memories you and yourdaughter will have are well worth the price. After all, isn’t Disney World all about dreams coming true?

We are hoping to try this out with our two princesses on our next trip. Of course, my youngest is all about the princesses, so this will probably make her whole trip!

  • When my daughter was little this was not around so I never had the chance. We are going to do the pirate league on our next trip. Yay!!

  • How fun! We'll have to be a pirate instead of a princess with 2 boys in our house!

  • We just did this for our granddaughter's 3rd birthday and it was wonderful. She was truly transformed into a princess and loved every minute of it. i was so excited watching her that I wished I could of did it!! We then had dinner in the castle with all the princess to top off the magical day!

  • Judy it sounds so magical. I really wish that I could have done this with my little girl. Glad that everyone has had such great experiences with BBB.

The BBB also offers a Prince Package at a much lower cost than the Princess'.

We too, took our daughter to the Cinderella's Royal Table for dinne to complete the magic.

Next month, I'll be talking about The Pirates League and touch a little more on the Pince Package. I also have 2 boys.

Keep Smiling and thanks for reading,

  • Theresa I cannot wait to hear about the Pirate League…we are so doing that on our next trip!!

  • I don't have kids and I haven't been inside so this was a great take on the whole shebang. I love seeing all the kids dressed up as characters inside the parks. I only wish Disney had this when I was a kid!

  • Julie thanks a bunch!!! I also wish that I could have done this at least with my 13 year old daughter.

  • […] place where lil girls, young an old, are transformed into princesses in an article called, “Princess for a Day.”  Not exactually what most boys want. Boys want adventure. This is Disney World, where […]
