On our last trip to Disney, my family decided to stay for a few nights at Port Orleans – Riverside. It has been a long time since we have stayed at Port Orleans; the last time my husband and I were on our honeymoon and the place was called Dixie Landings. That will show my age…lol.
It was great to visit and remember some of the magical moments that we had as a couple and share them with our children. However, there have been many changes (besides the name). One most noted is the special rooms that are designed for the royal in all of us.
When you first check – in each little lady in your family is given a special message for Princess Tianna welcoming them to the resort. This is their first souvenir!! All the Royal rooms are located in the manor section of the resort.
When you open the door you are immediately drawn to the special headboards for the beds. It has a special scene that with a push of a button lights up with fireworks! There are many little touches that we were noticing for the first couple of days. Little things like the place we put our luggage looks just like the dog from Beauty and the Beast. Aladdin’s rug can be found on the floor. My daughter had a great time exploring the room.
