While there are many delightful and less than frightful spooks in the Orlando area, Universal Orlando has the premier Halloween Celebration right on their property. If you are like to be scared and I mean scared, you may want to consider planning a trip to the Universal Orlando Resort during Halloween Horror Nights (HHN).
Before you even consider attending make sure that you have the “guts” to attend. :0) This hard ticket event focuses on gore, guts, blood, frights, and lots of spooktacular adult beverages. Of course the suggested age of attendance is 18, but you will see some small children there.
Here are some bits of information to help you plan.
What is a hard ticket event?
In a nutshell, you need a separate ticket to attend HHN. Just because you are traveling over the event dates and have tickets to get into the Universal Orlando theme parks, you cannot get in. You have to add on the event to your package, or you need to purchase your tickets separately. Contact your Guru Travel Professional to purchase tickets. We can also add tickets if you are staying at Walt Disney World and arrange for transportation. HHN sells out, we highly recommend contacting us right away to purchase tickets.
Time is money!
In this case, make sure you pick the right dates. HHN is held on select night between September 18 and November 1. There is a method to the madness, obviously meaning that if you can avoid attending on a weekend, do it! Attendance will get progressively heavier as it gets closer to Halloween.
What do you get with your ticket?
There are four components to HHN; 2 shows, 9 haunted houses and 5 outdoor scare zones (these are the scariest to me!) It is important to know that while some attractions are kept open during the event, not everything is available. Contact you Guru Travel Professional for a complete list of available attractions.
Go express or go home!
Maximize your experience at Halloween Horror Nights 2015 with a Halloween Horror Nights Express Pass, which provides shorter wait times at participating rides and attractions and ALL haunted houses! (Valid for one (1) time use per haunted houses and accessible rides and attractions, per one (1) guest)
With that said, please be aware that on peak nights the lines will reach 3 hours or more to get into a haunted house…the Express Pass is a must for this event.
