Cabana Bay Beach Resort is a family favorite. This value resort offers accommodations to suit parties up to 6 people. Many would not expect a value-priced resort to be within walking distance to Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventure Theme Parks, but it is. Here are the pros and cons so you know what to expect upon your arrival.
Let’s get to it!

Generations of all ages will love to relax and play in this classic Florida beach themed hotel inspired by the 50’s and 60’s. You’ll be right next door to Universal’s Volcano Bay water theme park, with your own dedicated walking path. Two huge pools, a lazy river, bowling alley and more. When it comes to theming, Cabana Bay Beach Resort is a winner!

**My Thoughts…**
We had a fun view of the pool with Volcano Bay in the background — amazing! The floor-to-ceiling windows are a highlight. The rooms are retro-themed (some might feel it’s dated but I love it). Family-friendly details like split baths make mornings so much easier.

**DINING**
The 50s and 60s vibe is everywhere — even in the restaurants and lounges.
• Bayliner Diner – Food court with grab & go stations
• Galaxy Bowl Restaurant – Table service in an old-school bowling alley
• Atomic Tonic – Poolside bar and grill
• The Hideaway Bar & Grill – Drinks & bites by the Lazy River
• Swizzle Lounge – Lobby bar for cocktails
• Starbucks® – Right in the lobby!
• Delizioso Pizza – Home-style pizza delivery (limited hours)
**My Thoughts…**
This isn’t a gourmet dining resort — expect pizza, salads and basic American fare. For more variety, head to City Walk. But kids will love Bayliner Diner and the poolside drinks are fun for adults. Bonus points for having a full Starbucks on site!

**RECREATION**
On-site fun includes:
• Cabana Courtyard — Zero-entry pool with slide, kids’ play area, cabanas, Atomic Tonic bar
• Lazy River Courtyard — Lazy river with waterfalls, cannons, The Hideaway Bar & Grill
• Galaxy Bowl — 10-lane bowling alley (fees apply)
• Jack LaLanne Fitness Studio — Free for guests
• Game-O-Rama — Arcade fun (fees apply)
**My Thoughts…**
Love the pools, lazy river, and Galaxy Bowl — great for families wanting extra activities outside the parks.

**My Thoughts…**
If you can splurge for a resort with Universal’s Unlimited Express Pass, it’s worth it — but Cabana Bay is excellent value for families.
**Final Thoughts…**
Universal does a fantastic job with the 50s/60s vibe. This is a true value property and you get what you pay for: fun theming, great pools, easy transport, and close proximity to the parks. It’s an affordable way to stay on Universal property.
