Walt Disney World Resort is full of fun, exciting, educational, thrilling and sometimes relaxing attractions to fill every guest’s day. Today I’d like to talk about a few of the film experiences available in EPCOT.
While travelling through World Showcase (especially during hot summer months) you might find yourself needing a place to cool off and relax those aching feet! Several World Showcase pavilions can help you!
Let’s take a walk around World Showcase Lagoon starting at our neighbor to the north, Canada!
Even if you’re not dining at Le Cellier, you can walk under its archway and stroll through the gardens.
Following the winding pathway to the back of the pavilion, you will find yourself entering the waiting area for O Canada.
This film is presented in 360 degree circlevision. What does that mean? When you enter the theatre, the movie screens are all around you.
Your famous film host Martin Short will then take you on an amazing journey through the land that is Canada.
Because the film happens all around you, there are no seats within the theater. There are “lean rails” for use. Please make sure you don’t sit on them or on the floor during the show. You’ll want to be able to turn around throughout the film so you don’t miss a thing.
If you enjoy the 360 degree view, China provides another opportunity to explore its nation.
As you are visiting the China pavilion, take a walk up to and inside the replica of the Temple of Heaven.
This ornate waiting area offers a nice break before you get into the theater. Sometimes musical entertainment is provided as you wait.
Like Canada, this film is presented in 360 degree circlevision format.
This film is a gorgeous display of the beauty of China. Again, you are going to make use of the lean rails during this presentation.
There is one more film presentation in World Showcase.
As you enter the France pavilion, you can head straight back to the Palais de Cinema for the majestic film “Impressions De France.”
While the screen in this theater is large, it is not all around you. This means SEATS!!! Not only can you escape Florida heat in a beautiful theater, but you can sit on a padded seat during the movie.
Impressions de France is a visually stunning film with a soundtrack to match. Famous pieces from French composers fill the air as you watch.
World Showcase provides so many opportunities to explore foreign culture. All three of these films run throughout the day at each pavilion and bring an extra touch of Disney magic to the area.
