Resort Review: Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf Resort & Spa

I recently had the chance to explore Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, and I’m thrilled to share my experience with you. Nestled amid breathtaking landscapes, this adults-only resort offers a blend of luxury and serenity that truly captured my midwestern heart.

Before we dive into the reasons why we love Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, let’s first go over the destination, Los Cabos. I want to specifically touch on the differences between Los Cabos and Riviera May/Cancun All Inclusive Resort areas.

Location and Geography

Los Cabos, located at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, is famed for its dramatic desert landscape merged with stunning ocean views. It offers a blend of urban life in Cabo San Lucas with the traditional charm of San Jose del Cabo.

Riviera Maya is part of the Yucatán Peninsula’s Caribbean coast, stretching from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. It’s lush with jungles and cenotes, making it a haven for eco-tourism, paired with beautiful beaches.

Cancun lies on the northeast tip of the Yucatán Peninsula, distinguished by its vibrant nightlife and extensive white sandy beaches, offering a mix of modern resorts and ancient Mayan history nearby.

First Impressions: A Love Affair with the Views

From the moment I arrived, the panoramic vistas over the Sea of Cortez took my breath away. While the resort’s décor felt a little dated, it was impeccably clean, and trust me, the exceptional staff more than make up for any lack of modernity. My evenings were spent delighting in martinis at Rendezvous – a ritual that quickly became my favorite pre-dinner indulgence.

It is important for me to note what is included for everyone. If you want to know more about Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Preferred Club upgrade, please see our FAQ section below.

Comfort and Relaxation: Utter Cleanliness

The accommodations were comfortable, and remarkably clean – the cleanest I’ve ever experienced, actually! While the rooms could use more natural light and modern amenities like extra USB ports, the cleanliness left a lasting impression.

Culinary Delights: Tasting the World

The dining options mirrored what you would anticipate of a superior all-inclusive resort, particularly at the Market Café’s impressive buffet and the delightful dishes at Portofino and Barefoot Grill. Each meal was an appreciated part of the overall experience, marking its place in the upper moderate category for culinary excellence.

Leisure Activities: A Golfer’s Dream Come True

While I personally didn’t golf, the fact that the course is on resort grounds is a major plus for my clients who are avid golfers. No need for long transfers – it’s a golfer’s paradise, and we can assist in securing those coveted tee times.

Service and Safety: Feeling Right at Home

The staff’s attentive and warm service made my stay even more memorable. I felt genuinely taken care of and completely safe throughout my visit, thanks to top-notch safety protocols.

Location Perks: More Than Just a Resort

Set amidst the scenic beauty of the Pacific coast and nearby vibrant San Jose del Cabo, the location offers a rich fusion of cultural charm and tranquil wilderness. Whether you’re exploring nearby historic towns or simply soaking in the serenity, the resort’s position is simply ideal.

Why You Should Visit?

What truly stood out to me was the stunning landscape and the exquisite horticulture that painted the resort in vibrant colors. It’s a blend of luxury and natural beauty that I haven’t encountered elsewhere. I wholeheartedly recommend Secrets Puerto Los Cabos for its unmatched beauty, lush grounds, and the unforgettable escape it provides.
