Disney Quest – The other Disney Park

When you think of Walt Disney World you naturally think of the 4 parks – Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.  However there is a fifth park at Downtown Disney called Disney Quest.

My family and I took an afternoon to explore this indoor amusement park.  There are 4 floors for interactive fun.  It was like going into a larger than life arcade with all kinds of games to play.  Being a child of the eighties it was so much fun to see the old arcade games like Ms. Pacman, Galaga, and Centipede mixed with newer games like Fix–it Felix.

Along with arcade games there are interactive games like Cyber Space Mountain.  You get to choose what kind of roller coaster you want to ride then get to ride it.  My son and I are adventurers and choose a roller coaster that had a lot of twists and inverted moves.  It was great!  You can also enjoy a virtual Jungle cruise and a virtual Pirates of the Caribbean.  We did the Jungle cruise, which was a lot of fun and a lot of work paddling the boat.

There is a create area at Disney Quest that my daughter loved.  You can go into a sound booth to record a song of your choice, or enjoy how to draw a Disney character.  We got to draw Pluto.  My Daughter found this level great, she is very creative.

The top floor of the Disney Quest has a café with sandwiches and pastries.  You can sit in these cute curved shape booths.  I enjoyed a chocolate pastry while I was there.

Disney Quest is a great place to enjoy time together with the family.  You can find Disney Quest on the West Side of Downtown Disney.  The price for one day is – $47.93 (Ages 10+); $41.54 (Ages 3-9); children under 3 are free.
