Fun while waiting for World of Color at Disneyland

WOC

When you are visiting Disneyland one of the must sees is at California Adventure. It is called the World of Color. This is an awesome nighttime show that involves water, color and pictures of various Disney scenes.

This is something that you MUST get a fastpass to see. There are many ways to get the fastpass; you can wait in line when the park first opens to get the pass – located right next to Grizzly River Run Rapids Ride. You can also get a fastpass by getting a dining package that has the fastpass option; my family chose Carthay Circle Restaurant. We had a great meal and received fastpasses for the World of Color.
Even though you have fastpasses it is still a good idea to arrive early to the place for the show. I have a teen and a tween that do NOT like to sit still. Disney has implemented a new way to keep everyone busy while waiting. The icon Ferris wheel that is right across the water where everyone is waiting turns into a giant Simon game. For those who are too young, unlike me, the Simon game is a machine that gave you a color pattern and you had to copy it.

This is how it works, you download an app to your smart phone and the Ferris wheel would give you a pattern to copy. Depending on how fast you were and if you were correct you would build a score. Tyler and I played it while we were waiting just to see who would get the higher score (he always won!!). It was a great way to pass the time.

What Our Clients Say

My grandson Oscar (5), son Johnathan, sister Kim and I went to Disney World for a week.  When I first had the thought to go I thought, where do I begin?  I put a shout out on FaceBook and discovered that Beth was a guru.  All I had to give her was my dates and we started from there.  She gave me options for resorts, told me about the dining plan, park hopper, fast passes and resorts to stay in.  She walked me through every step of the way.  I know that our vacation would not have been half as fun or organized if not for Beth.  I can’t say enough good things about her.  I would ask a silly question, she would reply and not make me feel like it was silly.  There is so much to Disney that I know it would have been a nightmare without her.  She is always, friendly and helpful.  She never tried to sway my opinion one way or another and let me make the decisions.  I would definitely have been lost without her.  I recommend her to everyone who says they want to go to Disney World.  Thank you Beth for the vacation of a lifetime.
