Speed Through the Lines with Single Rider Queues at Universal Orlando

Universal Series

Welcome back to our educational series on the Universal Orlando Resort! If you are just joining us be sure to catch up here.

One of our many jobs when working with you on your vacation is to save you time so you can get the full value for your vacation. That is why we want you to know more about Universal’s Single Rider Line.

Universal recognizes that there is a line and that they need to fill all available seats in order to make the lines move. So they look for fillers to fill in 1-2 seats at a time. This is how the single rider line was created. This means that those traveling alone or willing to sit alone can enjoy a very quick queue to the front of the line. As they need to fill in seats you will be able to ride.

It is important to know that when you are in the single rider queue, do not expect to sit with anyone in your party. You will be split up.

Universal does not always have the single rider line open. They can close it down due to low crowds. The single rider option is typically available at the following locations:

Universal Studios Florida

  • Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
  • Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
  • MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack
  • Revenge of the Mummy
  • Transformers: The Ride 3-D

Islands of Adventure

  • The Amazing Adventure of Spider-Man
  • Dr. Doom’s Fearfall
  • Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

If crowded they have been known to open single rider for the following attractions; Didley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls, Jurassic Park River Adventure, and Incredible Hulk Coaster.

One point to mention is that many of the queus offer an experience. While it is nice to be able to jump through the line we do not recommend that you skip the lines at any of the Harry Potter attractions..unless you have been on them before.
