With the cost of air fair just climbing many families are opting to drive to Walt Disney World. If you are looking to save a few bucks you may want to “locate cheap gas” before you leave. You may be wondering what do you mean, “locate cheap gas?” Well with all of the technology out there it is possible to find the cheapest gas along your route.
Check out these resources:
FuelEconomy.gov– Click on the map and get a list of web sites that track gas prices in your area.
GasBuddy.com-A site that will located the best online sites to get gas prices in your area.
If you are looking for gas prices on the go gas@gasbuddy.com and sms@mobgas.com can send you gas prices right to your mobile phone. Your phone has to support text messages in order to utilize this tool. If you are so lucky as to have a smartphone then you can probably download the GasBuddy application. This app will tell you the best gas prices just with the click of a button. :0)
Remember that every penny counts when you are saving for your Disney trip…if you are driving to save be sure to do your homework in advance and you could save even more than you had anticipated.

I love gasbuddy.com. It gives you a wide range of loactions near you to choose from. I always plan our fuel costs in advanced based on the current rate and round up. We have never been short on gas money. Plus, knowing how many hours one tank can get you is great for figuring out how many times you will need to fill up based on your milage. (yes, I’m a geek lol)
The best – if you’re coming from the Fl Turnpike, the Osceola Pkwy has the CHEAPEST gas in the state. There’s a race track RIGHT off of turnpike and the gas is usually at least 10c cheaper than elsewhere.. And, it’s right across the street from a Super Wal-Mart, so you can stock up on other cheap goodies, too!
