Disney To Do Lists are a Must

This is an article originally written for WDW Fan Zone another place that I call my Disney blogging home. Enjoy!

People are always asking me how I can still feel the need to go to Walt Disney World after having been there over 20 times. As my father always says, “ You’ve seen it once, you’ve seen it all.” I obviously totally disagree with my father.  I can tell you that with every trip I take,  I am more excited than the last. And no two trips areever the same, from the people we go with to the places we stay and eat, nothing is the same.

Believe it or not, even though I have been to Walt Disney World so many times I have not seen it all. There are always new things to see and do….or old things that I have never done. :0)

My family and I are traveling to Walt Disney World in the fall and I am pumped!! But as I begin to enter the final stages of planning I have decided to go through a planning book to decide what I have never done that I still need to accomplish. Well, let me tell you my list is long!!

Here is a look into the things this Disney Guru has never done at Walt Disney World!! Can you believe how long it is?

Magic Kingdom

  • Meeting Mickey on Main Street-I so excited about this!!
  • Tom Sawyer Island-I know, I know…we have NEVER done this I have no idea what is even there. I want it to be a surprise. I am really excited to enjoy this for the first time with my entire family.
  • Liberty Square Riverboat- I have to admit, this never happens because it does not look interesting to me….can you talk me into it?
  • The Hall of Presidents-I did this many moons ago and have absolutely no recollection. The only reason why we never do this is because my little guys will not sit through it. I will be sure to go on it without the kiddos this year. :0)
  • Meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider
  • Having breakfast at Crystal Palace before the park is even open…can’t wait!

Epcot

I have to say that there is a HUGE list of things that I need/want to do at Epcot but I will never get around to it all while we are there this time, so here is my list for this trip.

  • Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure-I am looking forward to this attraction. I have heard so many great things about it.
  • Turtle Talk with Crush- I have no idea why we have never done this…I have been told time and time again, how wonderful it is.  Looking forward to it!!
  • Meet Mulan- Mulan is my husband’s favorite Disney movie so this needs to happen. (Don’t you worry, I will post a picture of the two of them together)
  • Meet Mary Poppins-I just need to meet her. :0)
  • There are two places that I want to use my snack credit, Karamell –Kuche & Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe…..I want to indulge in some yummy sweet treats!!
  • We are eating at Via Napoli which is new for us.

Hollywood Studios

  • Star Tours-Well this goes without saying….right?
  • Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun-I know my boys will LOVE this. Maybe my 13 year old daughter will too. :0)
  • I am going to go shopping!!!

Animal Kingdom

  • Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade- I have walked through as it was going on but never really watched…I am thrilled to be able to watch this fall.
  • Finding Nemo the Musical- All I have to say is, I know we have been missing a little gem here and I cannot wait to experience it.

I encourage all Disney travelers to make a list of to do’s before they travel. This will help you feel like you accomplished everything you wanted to and more. In addition, you will feel like you have gotten your ull money’s worth.

I do need your help. I would love to take the time to experience at least one show by the Epcot street performers or musicians. I was wondering if you could tell me which one is your favorite, which would be great! I have never taken the time to sit back relax and enjoy a performance.

See ya real soon!!

  • I completely agree with this! I’m going on my 33rd trip and I always have a to-do list while I’m there. I can always find something that I haven’t done that I want to do, whether it is a new experience like the updated Star Tours or eating a particular snack which I have never tried before.

  • I do not know what they are officially called but there are two street performing groups that are AWESOME and will keep you entertained!!! The one is a group of chefs that bang on pots and pans and kitchen items, and the other is a group of sanitation workers that bang on garbage cans!!!!! Look for them, they ROCK!!!!

  • James thank you so very much for stopping by!! Yes…it is so important to have that list. Now we shall see how well I do at tackling it….lol.

  • Kari this sounds like a TON of fun!! I am going to research those groups out and add them to my list. I really appreciate your reply. Thanks for stopping by! :0)

  • I am a to do list person too! For Epcot entertainment, we love Voices of Liberty and Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps at the American Adventure, but we also have enjoyed the World Showcase Players in Italy (there is also a group that performs at UK, but we have just by chance only ever seen the group in Italy).

128 days!! & in the Fall sounds fun! GREAT list!
I’m not a fan of Liberty Square Riverboat! Maybe it’s because the steam from the boat burn the top of my head! Grrr….becareful, I wasn’t warned and I’m just happy it was me and not my kiddies!

  • Oh no Rebecca!! Glad you are okay. I will keep that in mind. Thanks for stopping by!!

  • We also happen to pass by during the performance in Italy. I will add your suggestions to my list. Thank you so much!! :0) Thanks for stopping by!

  • I did Tom Sawyer and the Riverboat when I was a kid… of course I don’t remember a thing. We make 3 lists – “Must see/do” and “Would like to see/do” and “If we see/do it, that’s ok but if we miss it, that’s no big deal” Ok, I am a list person through and through – drives my husband crazy. We put restaurants on that list, too.

One of our MUST-DOs is see “Off Kilter” on the stage outside of Canada! I actually named a dog I had “Kilter” – because of the group (though part of the true story is that I’m somewhat off kilter, so it was good all around)!

  • Jen I love your lists!! Those are much more sophisticated than mine…lol. Thanks for stopping by!!

  • One of my favorite shows away from the beaten path was watching DeVine in AK.
We watched her shift around on her four stilts for half an hour.
She was engaging, while never saying a word

    Sorry this isn’t in Epcot
